Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor hailing from Bahrain's Manama was born into the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. Jacqueline is the oldest of two siblings and a younger sibling. Due to the civil war in Lanka that her parents made the decision to relocate to Bahrain. After her schooling in Bahrain her family was granted the Scholarship to attend Sydney's University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's master's degree of Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. An avid lover of different cultures and languages, she attended Berlitz Language School where she studied Spanish as well as enhancing her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006 and she was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television. She hosted a program on Sri Lanka's business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter and badminton champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew up in Bangalore, but she is a native of Copenhagen. As a teenager she competed at the national badminton tournaments levels. However, she left the sport in order to become fashion designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, Indian. Her mother tongue Konkani is her origin. Padukone is a village located in the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone's father was an international champion in badminton who is now retired. Her mom is a traveling agent.
